Aimed at improving household resilience to climate change

The project is aimed at improving household resilience to climate change through Social and community mobilization on climate change adaptation, capacity building of the community structures on management of climate change adaptation, Promotion of alternate energy and energy-saving technologies, Promotion of community participation in forestry governance.

The program is supporting 15 villages of traditional authority Jalasi in Mangochi district. NACC uses ECD Centres as an entry point to climate change interventions whereby communities around ECD centers also carryout climate change interventions. The project has seen Communities adapting to climate resilient activities, ie households are using diversified energy serving technologies, and communities are managing woodlots and river bank afforestation.
