The girl in white head scarf Aisha, 12 years old is in standard 4 learns at Changausya primary school. She dropped out of in October 2022 after getting married to a 17years old boy within her village. The news of her drop out was reported by her friends at the girls’ corner, a forum for girls to support each other in life skills that NACC introduced. The forums which are school based are supervised by matrons who are female teachers.

The year 2024 has seen NACC achieving a great milestone in history as it was hired by to various institutions to train their caregivers in ECD basic training following its certification as an ECD training institution and centre of excellence in 2017.

The girls’ corners aimed to provide a safe space for girls to discuss their challenges, receive mentorship, and develop essential life skills. Masongola zone is one of the zones that has notable changes.
