“When the PSLC results were released, I was disheartened in 2017. The outcome fell short of my expectations, as I had hoped to be selected to a national or district secondary school. Instead, I was selected to Mkumba CDSS, which further angered my spirits. However, I chose to accept the situation and enrolled in the school, little did I know that this marked the beginning of a transformative journey that would shape my entire future.
Despite encountering numerous challenges, I received unwavering support from my parents and teachers, who were instrumental in my excellence. My achievements are a testament to the collective efforts of various stakeholders.
Notably, I cannot reflect on my secondary school experience without acknowledging the significant impact of NACC's initiatives. Their innovative program, which recognized top-performing schools and students, ignited a fierce determination within me to excel academically. The prospect of receiving an award motivated me to work tirelessly, and ultimately, our school was awarded.
This experience was a good moment in my academic journey, particularly during my secondary school years. The hard work and dedication that led to this achievement created a great effect, enabling me to perform exceptionally well in the MSCE exams and secure a place at the University of Malawi to pursue a degree in Education Mathematics. By the grace of Allah, I graduated on March 14, 2024, and began my career as a mathematics teacher at Assalamu Boys private Secondary School.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my parents, relatives, and other stakeholders for their unwavering support. Special thanks are reserved for NACC, whose initiatives during my secondary school years played a significant role in motivating me to reach academic excellence.”
