Kambwenza Square, a 31-year-old man from TA Jalasi, Mangochi who faced the challenges of growing up without parental support, embodies the transformative impact of our vocational training program aimed at empowering youth, including orphans that have nothing to do.
Despite not having the opportunity to attend school, Kambwenza's journey took a significant turn when He became one of our targeted beneficiaries for vocational training at NACC and He was trained in building, carpentry and joinery. The program provided him with essential skills and knowledge, allowing him to explore his potential in a field he had always been passionate about.
Through hard work and dedication, Kambwenza not only mastered the art of building. The hands-on training, coupled with mentorship from experienced artisans, equipped him with the confidence and expertise needed to thrive in a competitive market.
Today, Kambwenza stands as an independent man, successfully running his own carpentry business and successfully carrying out building projects. The house on the picture is one of his hand work. He has become a role model in his community, demonstrating that with the right support and training, one can overcome adversity. His success has allowed him to meet his own needs and provide for his family, ensuring they have access to essentials and a better quality of life.
“Before I received the training, I could not afford basic needs like food, but now I am hired to do high paying projects and generate enough income to carter for my family,” He proudly said.
Kambwenza's story is a testament to the power of vocational training and its ability to change lives. As he continues to grow his business, he also inspires other youths in the program to believe in their potential and strive for success.
Together, we can continue to support individuals like Kambwenza, helping them turn their dreams into reality and fostering a brighter future for our communities
